New Donation Hours at Community Blood Services

New hours have been put into place at Community Blood Services’ donor centers in New Jersey and New York to better accommodate the needs of the center’s volunteer blood and platelet donors.
The new hours, which went into effect in January, are:
- Paramus Donor Center, 970 Linwood Avenue West, New Jersey
- Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday & Thursday: 12 noon to 7:30 p.m.
- Lincoln Park Donor Center, 63 Beaverbrook Road, Suite 304, New Jersey
- 1st Sunday of every month: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Warwick Donor Center, 20 Grand Street near the Mount Alverno Center, New York
- 4th Sunday of every month: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Monday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- New Windsor Donor Center, 575 Hudson Valley Avenue, Suite 206, New York
- Tuesday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 noon
Donors can call toll-free 866-228-1500 or visit www.communitybloodservices.com to schedule an appointment. Walk-in whole blood donors are also welcome but appointments are needed to donate platelets. Donors also will receive various health screenings at the time of their donations, including screenings for cholesterol and glucose.
Community Blood Services, a not-for-profit organization, provides blood and blood products to patients in more than 30 hospitals in New Jersey and New York.
